Cisco Packet Tracer (CPT) is a cross-platform network simulation software created by Cisco. CPT allows users to create network topologies, imitate modern computer networks and simulate the configuration of Cisco routers and switches using a simulated command line interface. The tool makes use of a drag and drop user interface, allowing users to add and remove simulated network devices easily. This software aims to help Certified Cisco Network Associate Academy students to learn fundamental CCNA concepts. The Academy previously provides CPT only for students enrolled in a CCNA Academy program. And it is now free of charge for anyone.
